What this Playskool box is
Premium Multicolour Washable Crayons lands on the Drawing Desk mat as a colour box. At $12.88 it is one of the plainer boxes here, which is usually a good sign: fewer parts, fewer things to lose. 36 pieces go in the bin. Stock was thin at sweeping time, so check the listing before planning a birthday round it.
Play tends to be loud, physical and repetitive, which is exactly what this stage is for. New explorers repeat a thing forty times before they move on, and the fun is in the repetition rather than the novelty.
On the floor it lives near the Playskool blocks and the stacking cups, because that is the corner of the room where everything gets tipped out at once. Parents tend to keep one Playskool box per kind of afternoon rather than ten of the same toy, and this is the one that covers its slot.
